Last weekend, Conservatives from across the country gathered here in Calgary to spread a message of hope to Canadians. Delegates voted for the hope of an affordable, safe and self-reliant country and gave leader Pierre Poilievre overwhelming confidence in his leadership. This is a win for the young people skimping to start a family, the single mothers and seniors fighting to pay bills, the soldiers, police and border guards who constantly face danger to keep us safe and everyone else who overcomes hardship and setbacks and never gives up. Conservatives signaled overwhelmingly that they want to turn hope into results, now. The House of Commons resumed sitting last week and myself and the Conservative caucus are united in calling on PM Carney and the Liberals to stop with the speeches, signing ceremonies and announcements with no action. We are calling upon the Prime Minister to agree to fast-track policies to quickly reverse the food-price crisis, the crime crisis and the dependency crisis Liberals caused, with practical solutions, an openness to hear other ideas, and work together to fast-track results, including: The elimination within the next 60 days of the hidden taxes and costly policies that are causing the worst grocery inflation in the G7; Fast-tracking the Liberals watered-down bail bill and adopt Conservative proposals to to end bail, parole, probation or house arrest for anyone with three serious violent offenses; Renewing our offer to help fight American tariffs and get a tariff-free deal with the US and fast-tracking a bill to implement free-trade deals with the UK and Indonesia that had been negotiated before he took office but are still not law; and Fast-tracking passage of a Canadian Sovereignty Act to give Canada the fastest permits in the world, greenlight a pipeline to the Pacific and end capital gains tax on reinvestments in Canada. Only by getting government, particularly these Liberals, out of the way, and unlocking these treasures in our ground, can we deliver a Canada that is once again overflowing with hope, opportunity and optimism.Canadians deserve better than a government that has made Canadians poorer than they were before for three years in a row. In your service,

Food Inflation is Out of Control PM Mark Carney and his Liberals have admitted that they have no solution to stop ever increasing food inflation that is the highest in the G7. As a response, the Liberals are recycling old, half baked, Trudeau-era policies as a stop gap instead of bringing about real solutions to the massive inflationary deficits and taxes that only increase the cost to grow, ship, and sell food. Bigger government and more taxes are no way to actually solve this problem. The PM said he wanted to be judged by the cost at the grocery store. Well, the number speak for themselves: Roasted or ground coffee up 36% Beef stewing cuts up 39% Ground beef up 21% Pork shoulder cuts up 34% Whole chicken up 28% Strawberries and oranges up 18% Frozen spinach 20% (Stats Can figures from Jan-Dec 2025) Conservatives have offered solutions, such as: The Liberal food packaging tax. The Liberal clean fuel standard tax that adds 17 cents per litre of gas. The Liberal industrial carbon tax .And reversing inflationary Liberal deficits. Conservatives are reluctantly supporting C-19 because we believe any measures to bring much-needed relief to families after a decade of out-of-control inflation and government mismanagement will help. However, the majority of Canadians will get nothing from the GST rebate announced last week, and for the small number of families getting the equivalent of a $10 coupon off their $340 weekly grocery bill, it is a pittance.

Canada’s Economy On Life Support Ten years of failed Liberal economic policies have ground Canada’s economy to a halt. There was zero growth in the month of November. Let that sink in for a minute, zero. This is what happens when you take a vibrant resource economy and put major blockades in the way – C-69 the No New Pipelines law, C-48 the NW Tanker Ban, net zero policies, emissions cap and more. Investors leave and Canadians are left with a weaker dollar which makes our imports cost more. We sell our resources to others so that we have job creation inside of Canada and can trade for those imports. Worse, as PM Carney spends even more than the Trudeau Liberals, we see the debt continue to rise, our interest payments on that debt are far more than what we spend on health care. Imagine what our country could do with those dollars!
