Jasraj Singh Hallan immigrated to Canada with his family at the age of five, from Dubai. He grew up in the riding of Calgary Forest Lawn as an at-risk youth. His family experienced financial hardship. After graduating from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) with a diploma in accounting, he ran a successful home building business in Calgary. He also worked with local small businesses to run an after-school program for at risk youth in Calgary.
Jasraj Singh Hallan is the Official Opposition’s Shadow Minister for Finance & Middle Class Prosperity. He is the Member of Parliament for Calgary Forest Lawn and serves as Vice-Chair of the Standing Committee on Finance. He was formerly the Official Opposition’s Shadow Minister for Immigration, Refugees & Citizenship.
